A local studio, in the most literal sense.
Why the studio exists
I grew up around family businesses, so I’ve always understood how important local businesses are to the places they’re part of. They employ local people, support local clubs and teams, and often become a pretty big part of the community.
At the same time, the way people find and judge businesses is changing. A lot of people, particularly younger customers, will look you up online before they ever walk through the door. That first impression matters, and I think a good website should give people the same confidence in a business online as they’d get in person.
That’s really why I started Summer St. Studio. I wanted to help good local businesses present themselves properly online, without making the whole process harder than it needs to be.
The name comes from Summer Street, Orange’s main street, pictured below in the 1940s. I work mostly with businesses around the Central West, but everything can be done virtually, so location isn’t really a limitation.
